2. Mario Cristobal

This might not seem appealing to Florida fans after Oregon lost to Utah in blowout fashion on Saturday, but Mario Cristobal’s ability to recruit is what should get Florida fans excited.

Cristobal is a former Alabama assistant and knows what it takes to win in the SEC. Recruiting is the most important thing for a program to try and become a national championship level program and if there is one coach that is seemingly available that can recruit on the same level as Kirby Smart, it would be Cristobal.

Florida is going to have some competition for Cristobal. LSU and USC could get involved and if Manny Diaz were to be let go from Miami, Cristobal might feel the pull of going home.

This would be a great fit for the Gators and it would put some of the recruiting concerns to ease. Cristobal has won a Pac-12 title and a Rose Bowl while at Oregon and would do even more at a place like Florida with more resources and better in-state recruiting.
