According to Thomas Goldkamp of 247sports, Anthony Richardson may get the nod to start at quarterback against Florida State. Emory Jones, who has been the starter for Florida football most of the season, reportedly rolled his ankle in practice on Monday and has been listed as doubtful. How long he will be out is still yet to be determined but he will most likely be out for this weekend.

Richardson has one start to his name this season, making his debut against Georgia on 10/30 in the 34-7 loss throwing 12-20 for 82 yards. Will Richardson be able to come out and impress on Saturday?

Richardson has had some struggles this season. With the exception of the first two games of the season, he has had some ups and downs. But he will get his chance to show if he can turn things around with Florida State on deck.

Richardson is a redshirt freshman from Gainesville, Florida. He attended Eastside High School where he had 4,633 passing yards with 37 TDs and 1,633 rushing yards with 41 TDs. He was a four-star dual-threat in the class of 2020.

On the season, Richardson has 474 passing yards with 5 TDs and 5 INTs.

Florida football fans hope that Anthony Richardson has what it takes to play well against Florida State. He has played well in the past, creating exciting explosive plays and he will need to do the same this time around. Florida State is a team that has been getting better as the year has developed and they will be tough to beat.
