1. Bryce Young locked up the Heisman Trophy

Coming into Saturday, the Heisman Trophy was still up in the air. There were a handful of candidates with a real shot such as Aidan Hutchinson, Kenneth Walker III, Kenny Pickett, Matt Corral, and CJ Stroud but Bryce Young’s performance in the SEC title game against the nation’s top team and stingiest defense, he has locked it up.

For a second straight year, the Crimson Tide will be home to the Heisman Trophy winner after he had a monster SEC title game against the No. 1 team in the land.

Forget that Georgia was the top team, it had the best defense. It wasn’t giving up a ton of points or yards to anyone and Young made it look rather easy. He finished with 421 passing yards and three touchdowns with no picks, completing 26-of-44 passes.

Alabama probably wouldn’t be in this position without Young and his emergence as the nation’s best player and if there was any doubt about the Heisman Trophy winner this year, it’s been put to rest.

Bryce Young will be your 2021 Heisman Trophy winner, folks.
