2. Nick Saban thrives as an underdog

When you’re the head coach at Alabama, you’re not often the underdog. For Nick Saban, it’s happened just six times since 2008 and his record in those games is 5-1.

Saban doesn’t often get to be the underdog, but when he is, he thrives in that role. This is also the fifth time he has won by double-digits as an underdog which is even more impressive. He’s 5-1 with five blowout wins as an underdog. Think about that for a second.

This just goes to prove just how great Saban is. He’s the greatest college football coach of all time and when no one gave him or the Tide a shot, he rose to the occasion.

Georgia looked like the most complete team in the country all season long, but you would have thought that was Alabama on Saturday night if you knew nothing about both teams heading into the game.

Alabama is playoff-bound again and it’s red-hot at the right time. This is bad news for the rest of college football.
