One of the top uncommitted recruits in the entire 2022 class recently released a top eight and Nebraska made the cut. Four-star running back TreVonte’ Citizen, a former LSU commit, reopened his recruitment when Ed Orgeron and the Tigers parted ways but still kept them on his radar.

Brian Kelly is still hoping to keep Citizen in Baton Rouge despite his decommitment when Orgeron left the program but he’s going to have his hands full.

There are a handful of other programs fighting for him including Miami, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, and Michigan State. Nebraska, too, is in the mix, and Scott Frost is going to be trying to sell early playing time to the talented running back from Louisiana.

Nebraska may not be a favorite right now, but making his top schools after just offering in December is a good sign.

Citizen is ranked the No. 98 recruit and eighth-best running back in the class.
