Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin just landed Michael Trigg and Jaxson Dart in the transfer portal, asserting his recruiting dominance.

When he’s not trolling on social media, Lane Kiffin is actually killing it on the recruiting trail.

It’s easy to see why top recruits want to play for Kiffin. He’s young, he’s hip, he’s relatable, and he’s a player’s coach. He knows how to relate to young recruits and he’s building a winning program at Ole Miss in a short period of time.

For 2022, Kiffin has the No. 23 recruiting class before February’s signing day and while that might not seem incredible, all you need to do is look at who he’s landed in the transfer portal to realize he’s absolutely killing it.

Sure, Kiffin’s 2022 class is solid with guys like Zxavian Harris, Davison Igbinosun, and Jaron Willis, but his transfer class might just be the best in the country.

Ole Miss is losing some talent from its 2021 team that finished 10-3 with a Sugar Bowl appearance, most notably Matt Corral, but there’s plenty to be excited about when you look at the transfers coming in — there are 10 (!!) of them so far.

On Friday, the Rebels landed former top-100 quarterback and USC transfer Jaxson Dart who was one of the top players on the market along with former top-150 tight end and USC transfer Michael Trigg. This duo adds to an already impressive transfer class that features guys like JJ Pegues, Mason Brooks, Troy Brown, Zach Evans, and Ladarius Tennison. All of these guys will have prominent roles in 2022.

Although Corral is gone, the feeling around the Ole Miss program is that an SEC title isn’t quite out of reach and those championship aspirations improved on Friday with the additions of Dart and Trigg.

Kiffin is absolutely killing the transfer market right now and he has reloaded his roster in just one offseason. Don’t be surprised to see Ole Miss contend for a playoff spot.
