Future All-American: Jaylen Sneed

This one was an easy pick for me. I think Jaylen Sneed has everything you want in a linebacker, including some incredible playmaking abilities and solid speed which sets him apart from everyone else at the position in the class.

The five-star linebacker from South Carolina is actually the Irish’s top-ranked signee in the class and he’s enrolled early. He’s already on campus getting acquainted with college life and when spring ball rolls around, I could see him making a name for himself and having a solid impact on the Notre Dame defense.

Sneed was ranked the No. 34 overall recruit and third-best linebacker in the 2022 class and Gabe Brooks of 247Sports compared him to Bobby Okereke of the Indianapolis Colts and said he has the look of a future second-round NFL draft pick.

Notre Dame has had some great linebackers over the years and I just get the feeling that Sneed is going to be the latest to represent the Irish as an All-American. Are we looking at the next Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah? I think so.
