If the name Trevor Etienne sounds familiar, that’s because his older brother, Travis, starred for Clemson and helped the Tigers get to the top of college football as an elite running back.

Trevor committed to Florida over Clemson despite taking visits to both before signing day. Dabo Swinney wasn’t able to beat out the Gators for the brother of one of his best players ever and that’s a good sign for Billy Napier moving forward. He’s a heck of a recruiter.

Florida will need some running back help despite landing running backs in the portal in three straight cycles as the Gators are losing Malik Davis and Dameon Pierce. Nay’Quan Wright is the top returning running back so I could see Etienne cracking the rotation and getting a decent amount of carries as a true freshman.

The 5-9, 218-pound back is a load to bring down so he could be a nice complementary piece to the more explosive and quicker running backs on the roster.

Etienne is ranked the No. 187 overall recruit and 14th-best running back in the class.
