2. Quarterback play will undoubtedly improve

There’s no doubt about it, quarterback play cannot get much worse than what we saw in 2021.

Emory Jones was disappointing and didn’t live up to expectations and while he announced his transfer intentions, there’s speculation that he may actually return. No decision has been made, but he can’t get any worse than he was in 2021 with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He did complete about 64 percent of his passes for over 2,700 yards.

Anthony Richardson seemingly has the highest ceiling but he dealt with injuries throughout last season. He finished with 529 passing yards and 401 rushing yards with nine total touchdowns over the course of seven games.

Florida is also bringing in Ohio State quarterback transfer Jack Miller who should provide depth and will be battling for that starting job. He’s capable of being a solid Power Five starter.

The Gators also have redshirt freshman and former four-star Carlos Del Rio-Wilson who could surprise people and rise up the depth chart.

The quarterback play is guaranteed to improve from the nightmare that was 2021.
