Williams’s departure to the NFL is not going to be easy to replace, but Notre Dame football has some talented backs waiting in the wings. We may have gotten a glimpse at how the upcoming running back rotation is going to shake out in the Fiesta Bowl.

Logan Diggs was the guy that got the majority of the work, but Chris Tyree was the guy Notre Dame used for outside runs.

It is a bit like a thunder and lightning duo and one that was very effective in the bowl game. It is going to be hard for anyone else in the backfield to get touches because these two are such an effective combo.

Two guys that are worth mentioning are Audric Estime and incoming freshman Jadarian Price. These two guys are talented and are a part of the future, but don’t expect much from them this season barring injury.
