Quarterback

Starter: Anthony Richardson
Backup: Jack Miller OR Emory Jones

This is going to be the most important question that Florida faces for the 2022 season. They were not able to get some consistent quarterback play after Kyle Trask had such a great season in 2020.

The competitors for the job will all be familiar faces to Florida fans. Anthony Richardson is the most talented of the group but struggled with passing consistency and mechanics. If he can put in the work this offseason and learn Napier’s offense, then Richardson could be in for a big season.

Jack Miller is transferring in from Ohio State after being the odd man out in the nation’s most talented quarterback room. Miller is not the explosive athlete that Richardson is and has not had much action at the college level.

Last year’s part-time starter Emory Jones entered the transfer portal but then decided to come back to Florida. If it is clear that he is going to be behind Richardson or Miller, Jones may decide to reenter the portal.
