Florida State Football: Way-too-Early 2022 Depth Chart Projection
Florida State Football is hoping to have a breakthrough season in year three under Mike Norvell. What will the Seminoles depth chart look like in 2022?
It has been a tough stretch of football for Florida State. After having a successful run under former head coach Jimbo Fisher that included a national championship in 2013, the program has been in a steady decline. They have gone two straight seasons without making a bowl game and missed out on the number one recruit in the country on signing day. However, there was some progress being shown towards the end of the year and the talent has improved a bit for the Seminoles.
This is going to be a crucial season for Norvell. Miami and Florida, the Seminole’s two biggest rivals, have made huge coaching moves recently. Billy Napier and Mario Cristobal have brought new excitement to their fanbases and a lot of money is being spent on the programs now. If it looks like Norvell is going to be falling further behind in today’s college football, another coaching change could be on the horizon in Tallahassee.
As far as the roster looks for this season, Florida State is bringing back plenty of experience. They are losing their best player in defensive end Jermaine Johnson and running back Jashaun Corbin, but there is experience. The Seminoles were able to bring in one of the ACC’s top recruiting classes despite losing Travis Hunter on signing day. The depth chart should not change a ton, but there could be some surprises.
