LSU Football: 3 predictions for the Tigers QB competition
Expect a transfer
Myles Brennan hasn’t had a spectacular career with LSU but he has completed 60 percent of his passes in his career and has 13 touchdown passes compared to six interceptions.
He’s easy to discount because Howard is the fancy quarterback of the future, while Daniels is the big-name addition from the transfer portal. Daniels still has to prove that he will be an upgrade over Brennan but he was talked about as an early-round draft pick earlier in his career.
Daniels has the talent to play in the NFL and he’s shown the most high-level production of any of the three starters, so if there’s going to be an odd-man-out this spring, it’s probably Brennan.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Brennan stuck around and tried to win the job in the fall but he’s good enough to start somewhere and enough college football teams need quarterbacks that he could enter the transfer portal this spring and find somewhere to start by the fall.
