I’ve been high on Jason Marshall Jr. since he committed to Florida in the 2021 class, and who wouldn’t have been? He was one of the best defensive back recruits in the country and I think everyone had the sense of him becoming the next star in that Florida secondary.

In his freshman season, he showed plenty of promise, recording 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception, and three pass deflections in 12 games. He looked like a budding star.

But he didn’t quite get the extensive playing time that many had hoped for.

Now, with Kaiir Elam gone, Marshall could be the Gators’ CB1 for the 2022 season and I think he could break out with a big spring.

Marshall Jr. has all the tools and now the opportunity to become a star for the Gators in 2022 and it begins this March and April.
