Florida Football gets multiple 5-star crystal ball predictions
Florida football is rolling in crystal ball predictions right now as multiple five-star recruits are being projected to the Gators.
The spring and summer are fertile times for recruiting in college football and the Florida football program is taking advantage.
Florida hosted a number of top-flight recruits recently and as with all programs, that’s a pretty common occurrence during the month of March. Yet, momentum with the Gators should start ramping up even more, especially if some of the recent crystal ball projections prove to be true.
Florida football is trending with multiple crystal balls
The key for the Gators to return to being a college football elite under Billy Napier is recruiting and the Gators are actually trending with a pair of 5-star cornerbacks in 2023.
Tony Mitchell is one of them and the 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback out of Alabama, has received a new crystal ball projecting him to Florida football with a confidence level of seven on a scale of 1-10.
Mitchell is the 19th overall recruit in the 2023 class and there is a ton of competition for him in Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, and Oregon, but the Gators hosted him for a visit this past weekend and you have to like where Florida sits.
Yet, Mitchell isn’t the only five-star defensive back with new predictions to land with Florida. Another five-star, the No. 3 player overall in the 2023 class, Cormani McClain, out of Lakeland, Florida, has now received a new crystal ball for the Gators with a confidence level of seven.
McClain is another that is being pursued by Alabama and all the elites but he’s close to home and Florida football has some real momentum with the elite in-state prospect.
Florida football doesn’t lead for either recruit according to the On3.com prediciton machine but that could change. With McClain specifically, Florida was already right behind Bama, so it’s not hard to see the Gators overtake them in the prediction machine soon.
In other news, Florida was also projected four-star defensive lineman Derrick LeBlanc and also four-star offensive tackle Payton Kirkland.
Crystal ball projections or expert picks aren’t commitments. But it’s still a good sign for Gator fans to see Napier and the program establishing momentum on the recruiting trail with some of the elite talents Florida wil need to complete with the best in the SEC.
