Florida Football: 2022 NFL Mock Draft for Gator prospects
Florida football has a handful of legit NFL draft prospects and here’s where they all might land when the process begins next weekend.
Dan Mullen may no longer be the head coach of Florida football, but a handful of his former players will be off to the NFL draft next week.
Mullen produced plenty of top-tier players and while he may not have a surefire first-rounder this cycle, there is one Gator who could sneak into the end of the first round.
Florida has about 6-7 prospects who could be selected next weekend, so let’s start with the projected seventh-rounders and where they may land.
Tyrone Truesdell, DT — No. 225 to the Dolphins
Tyrone Truesdell transferred from Auburn to Florida for his last two seasons and while he never really had a boatload of success, he showed flashes. I think the Dolphins could take him late in the seventh round based on potential. He finished his career at Florida with 34 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. Before that, he had 45 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks.
Jean Delance, OT — No. 253 to the Bengals
Jean Delance was once one of the top prospects in the 2016 recruiting class, ranking in the top 150. He committed to Texas and then transferred to Florida. He became a staple of the Gators’ offensive line, starting in 37 games over his final three seasons. He played primarily at right tackle and was a reason the Gators were so effective on the ground in 2021 and only surrendered five sacks. He will catch on late in the draft and the Bengals could use all the offensive line help they can get.
