Dameon Pierce, RB — No. 151 to the Falcons (5th round)

Dameon Pierce is an interesting prospect because I don’t think he ever truly played to his potential at Florida and that’s not a knock on him, but rather the coaching staff for not utilizing him properly.

The Gators’ running back split carries throughout his career and still finished with 1,806 yards and 23 touchdowns in four years. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry over his career and he also caught 45 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns. He showed he could do a little of both and some team is going to look for a running back in the middle rounds to bolster their depth.

I truly believe that Pierce could catch on in the NFL as a potential 500-600 yards per season as an RB2 and he does have the potential to even take over the right backfield.

The Falcons could use some help at running back and rather than spending an early-round pick on one, they could wait until round five and No. 151 overall to take a chance on Pierce.

Pierce has a solid NFL body at 5-10 and 218 pounds and he ran a 4.59 40-yard-dash at the combine. Really underrated prospect.
