Florida football had three players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft but they could have even more prospects for 2023. Who are they?

Only three Florida football players were selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, led by Kaiir Elam in the first round, but the Gators could have even more in 2023.

The roster Billy Napier inherited is not void of talent and we’ll see that in next year’s draft.

Here are the Gators’ top five prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft, led by some honorable mentions who could also hear their names called.

Honorable mention

There are nearly a dozen Florida players who are legit NFL prospects but since I’m only ranking the top five, here are the best of the rest.

Two years removed from leading the Gators in tackles, Ventrell Miller is back for a redshirt senior year at linebacker after suffering a season-ending injury in 2021. If he can even approach the form from his 2020 season, he should be a legit prospect and maybe even a mid-round guy.

A former five-star prospect, Demarkcus Bowman never fit in at Clemson before transferring to Florida but he had a quiet first season with under 100 yards. Now that Dameon Pierce is gone, he could take over in the backfield for the Gators.

O’Cyrus Torrence actually followed Billy Napier over from Louisiana where he was an All-Sun Belt first-team performer. He was one of the top linemen in the transfer portal and could become a true star in the SEC.

Rashad Torrence II started all 13 games at safety for Florida last season, recording 87 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and two pass breakups. He may not yet be an All-SEC performer, but he looks destined to make some noise in 2022.
