Some believe that Rashad Torrence II is a better pro prospect than Trey Dean, but I think the extra experience and potential is better for the latter.

The senior safety began his career on a very high note, earning a spot on the All-SEC Freshman team. That was all the way back in 2018 when he had 26 tackles, a pick, and five pass breakups. Since then, he’s worked his way into the starting lineup and he’s fresh off his best season as a Gator in 2021.

Just last year, he finished with 88 tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, and four pass breakups. He looked like one of the better safeties in the SEC.

Right now, I could see him as a Day 3 pick as a 5-7 round selection, but he could easily improve that stock this season. He has great size at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds and he’s not afraid to step up and hit the ball-carriers. If he continues to improve his coverage skills, he’s going to find himself in the NFL in 2023.
