Florida’s defensive line should be scary next season with Brenton Cox coming off the edge and Gervon Dexter eating in the middle. Those two are going to wreak a ton of havoc on opposing offensive linemen and the Gators should be able to send two guys from up front to the 2023 NFL Draft in the early rounds.

While Cox is likely a Day 2 pick unless he truly has an Aidan Hutchinson-like breakout season, Dexter seems to be locked in as a second or third-rounder.

Dexter was also a highly sought-after prospect out of high school a couple of years ago and the redshirt sophomore is coming off his best season, recording 50 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 2021. He clearly has an NFL-ready frame at 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds; he’s an absolute load to handle.

The Gators should dominate the trenches this season on both sides of the ball and I expect Dexter to have a big year and earn some favorable NFL draft grades.
