2. Anthony Richardson’s health

The returning offense isn’t all that impressive for Florida as Anthony Richardson has 25 percent of the offense’s returning touchdowns from last year. In fact, the Gators return guys who scored just 13 of the team’s 53 touchdowns from a year ago, and that can’t feel good for fans hoping for a more explosive offense.

Richardson’s return is important, though.

The redshirt sophomore quarterback might just be the best athlete on the roster as a 6-foot-5, 235-pound dual-threat with a rocket arm. He rushed for 400 yards with three touchdowns last season and he also passed for six touchdowns on 529 yards — but he did throw five picks.

However, he may have been the full-time starter last year if he didn’t suffer through a hamstring issue that really kept him out. He had a healthy spring but needs to stay healthy for a full season or he will lose his job to Ohio State transfer Jack Miller III.

This team’s ceiling is much higher with Richardson at the helm, but will he be able to stay healthy? That’s a legitimate concern.
