Miami football stayed red-hot on the recruiting trail on Tuesday night sealing the deal with former Clemson commitment Nathaniel Joseph.

The Miami football program hasn’t played a game under new head coach Mario Cristobal, but so far, the Hurricane faithful have to be extremely happy with what he’s done.

Not only did the Hurricanes finish the 2022 recruiting class strong, but they also have some genuine momentum in the 2023 class, and in June alone, Miami football has picked up five commitments.

Three of those were three-star prospects but Miami football is also fresh off landing four-star QB Jaden Rashada who is ranked seventh among QBs in 2023 and a top-50 prospect according to the On3 consensus rankings.

While much of the talk was about Rashada’s nearly $10 million NIL deal, that hasn’t stalled the Hurricanes’ momentum.

In fact, on Tuesday, the U picked up even more steam on the recruiting trail as Nathaniel Joseph, a 5-foot-8, 170-pound receiver ranked 104th overall in the 2023 class according to the 247 sports composite rankings, pledged to the Canes, who now have the 26th-ranked class according to 247’s team rankings.

What’s next for Miami football?

Yet, this momentum won’t slow down anytime soon, at least not according to some recent expert projections. The Hurricanes are trending with picks for five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown with three from 247sports/On3 in the past few days.

Riley Williams is another top-100 prospect, a tight end in the 2023 class, that has been trending with projections to Miami football along with four-star DL Reuben Bain.

The Hurricanes also made a real move last weekend with four-star defensive ends Jaxon Howard and Collins Acheampong during official visits.

LSU, Michigan, and Minnesota are all in the mix for Howard, but Miami could wind up winning his recruitment too after making the final sales pitch. He’ll decide Friday.

Acheampong is a raw but talented EDGE rusher who has been trending towards Michigan, at least until his visit, and now Miami football is a serious threat to win his commitment on Friday.

So while Miami has just landed two highly-ranked four-star recruits, several other four and even a five-star could be on the way, with some potentially committing as early as this week.
