3. LSU Tigers

I’m just as shocked as you are that LSU went from having one of the best and most explosive offenses in college football history during a 2019 national title season to being mediocre, at best, over the next two years.

Ed Orgeron went from celebrated national champion to out of a job in just two years which just goes to show the expectations in Baton Rouge can crush a coach.

Brian Kelly left Notre Dame with national title aspirations at LSU and you know he’s not going to treat 2022 like a rebuilding year despite the fact that the Tigers went 6-6 in 2021. He has plenty of talent returning, such as Kayshon Boutte, John Emery Jr., BJ Ojulari, and Myles Brennan. He’s also brought in some solid transfers such as Noah Cain, Jayden Daniels, Sevyn Banks, and Mekhi Garner.

Talent is not the issue for LSU heading into the 2022 season and now that Kelly is in charge, I’d be shocked to see the Tigers finish any worse than 9-3 even with a tougher schedule.
