Jason Marshall Jr. is probably on everyone’s list in terms of breakout candidates for the 2022 season, and rightfully so.

The former five-star cornerback from Miami got some starting experience as a freshman, recording 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and a pick. He showed flashes of brilliance for the No. 25 passing defense in the country and fourth-best in the SEC. And he’s only getting better.

Florida will have one of the best defensive backfields in the country in 2022 with Marshall returning alongside Trey Dean III, Avery Helm, Tre’Vez Johnson, and Rashad Torrence II. He’s going to stand out as the best defender from that group.

I actually think Dean and Torrence will be very good, but I think Marshall has the highest ceiling of the group and we just saw a glimpse of what he’s capable of in 2021.

If Marshall doesn’t become an All-SEC cornerback in 2022, I’d be shocked.
