Florida Football: Ranking 2022 opponents by toughness
Mike Norvell’s Florida State tenure has gotten off to a shaky start as he’s just 8-13 in his first two seasons with the Seminoles but many believe he’ll finally make a bowl game in 2022.
Still, he has to prove that he’s more than just a 5-7 coach as he began the 2021 season 0-4 and then 3-6 before winning two straight until Florida knocked the Seminoles out of bowl contention in the final game of the season. Could that happen again this year? I think so, especially if Jordan Travis is still the quarterback.
Will Levis is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the country and it’s fitting that he plays for one of the most underrated teams. Kentucky went 10-3 last season but I just don’t see the Wildcats replicating that success with only four players returning on offense as most of the receiving corps is gone.
The defense should be solid and this is a rivalry game so expect the Wildcats to give the Gators their best shot again. They did beat Florida in 2021 which was the start of the end for Dan Mullen.
