This may be the most underrated game of the entire 2022 season as Notre Dame and BYU square off in Las Vegas for the anticipated Catholics vs. Mormons matchup.

On one side you have the underrated Jaren Hall quarterbacking the Cougars after helping lead them to 10 wins a year ago and on the other, Tyler Buchner looks poised to step up and get Notre Dame back to the playoff. This might be a shootout in Vegas with the Irish just sneaking by with a late field goal.

Prediction: Win (4-1)

David Shaw’s program isn’t what it used to be. The Cardinal were feared in the Pac-12 but now they are in limbo as the conference seems to be in danger and no new home has opened up for them in the Big Ten or Big 12.

Tanner McKee might give the Irish defense some problems, but not enough to pull off an upset in South Bend. This will still be one of those low-scoring games that the Irish seem to have a couple of times every year. They should run away here but it’ll be close and Stanford’s mediocre defense will fold in crunch time.

Prediction: Win (5-1)
