Clemson had a “down year” in 2021, finishing 10-3 with a Cheez-It Bowl win. Not many programs can consider 10-win seasons “disappointing” but Clemson is not most programs. The Tigers will be out for blood in 2022.

The last time these two teams played, the Irish weren’t able to keep up with Trevor Lawrence in the ACC title game in 2020. They did beat the Tigers earlier that year when DJ Uiagalelei was under center and they have the recipe for success against him. I just don’t think Uiagalelei will have another down year.

Dabo Swinney marches into South Bend and picks up a statement win here.

Prediction: Loss (7-2)

10. Scouting Report. Nov. 12. Baltimore, Md.. Navy Midshipmen. player. 2394. Pick Analysis

The annual battle between Notre Dame and Navy is usually a good one but Ken Niumatalolo’s team is not expected to do much of anything in 2022. The Midshipmen are expected to finish near the bottom of the AAC. That won’t matter here in a neutral field battle.

Navy will give the Irish everything it has and the game will come down to defensive stops by Notre Dame to seal a scary win.

Prediction: Win (8-2)
