USC football

The Trojans are the easiest to project making a big-win increase in the 2022 college football season. USC football won just four games last season but upgraded its coaching staff and roster more than any other in the country in just one offseason.

USC added former five-star QB Caleb Williams who was the No. 1 QB in the 2021 class and shined last season playing for Oklahoma. Quinn Ewers is promising but Williams has proven he can produce. There are no question marks.

Lincoln Riley is also the most proven college football head coach on this list. Frost has an undefeated season on his resume but his time at Nebraska has been a disaster. Napier, Sark, and Cristobal have had different levels of success. Mario has even won the Pac-12 title.

But Riley has won the Big 12 multiple times and taken Oklahoma to the playoff multiple times too. He’s proven as a recruiter and a QB guru. He’s also added Jordan Addison arguably the top WR in the country, Travis Dye (1,200-yard rusher from Oregon last season), and also OU wideout Mario Williams, plus some defensive reinforcements. The O-line is better than people realize too.

USC football is deep and talented and the Trojans are going to win 10 games this season. They might even win the Pac-12 championship.
