3 most underrated college football teams heading into 2022

3. Texas Longhorns

This may be the first and only time I’ll ever list Texas as an “underrated” team heading into the season and it’s because I truly think the Longhorns should have been ranked in the preseason AP Top 25.

I’m not quite sold on Steve Sarkisian as the head coach of this storied program but he has an incredibly talented team heading into the season.

In a wide-open Big 12 this season, guys like Quinn Ewers, Agiye Hall, Jahleel Billingsley, Xavier Worthy, and Bijan Robinson are going to lead one of the most explosive offenses in the entire country. As long as the defense is even average, this is a team that could win the conference. Not many Big 12 teams are going to be able to stop the Longhorns’ offense.

Looking at the contenders in the Big 12, Texas can beat just about anyone, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Baylor.

I’m buying stock in the Longhorns now.
