3. The invasion of underclassmen has begun

Texas A&M had the top-ranked recruiting class last cycle and those guys showed up and showed out on Saturday against Sam Houston on both sides of the ball. Throw in those sophomores and redshirt freshmen from the year before and it is obvious that this team is full of young guns that are ready to come out guns blazing.

We saw a lot of true freshmen Evan Stewart and Chris Marshall on the receiving side; they combined for nine catches for 98 yards. Yulkeith Brown had the touchdown shown on the last side and he’s just a true sophomore. We also saw some of Walter Nolen, Shemar Stewart, Denver Harris, Anthony Lucas, and Smoke Bouie — just to name a few. Sophomore Fadil Diggs was a stud throughout the game as well. He was a team captain to start the matchup and showed out from start to finish.

Quite basically, look for these guys to continue to make a difference ahead of schedule for the Aggies. Many thought the freshman class wouldn’t have an impact in 2022. It would seem that they, myself included, were wrong.
