1. Arkansas football still has all of its goals alive
After a tough loss like this, it’s easy to be down on your team and your mind immediately goes to, “We’re cooked.” In college football, that is a fair assessment, but the Razorbacks can still do what they need to in order to contend in the SEC, and hanging with Texas A&M doesn’t exactly mean this is a nightmare loss.
Arkansas had the chances to win and some could argue that they were the better team for a good chunk of the game, but Texas A&M just made the winning plays.
Being on the wrong end of an 82-yard fumble return touchdown, missing a go-ahead field goal, and fumbling on the goal-line won’t exactly instill confidence in fans and if all three of those things happen in the same game versus a Top 25 opponent, you can almost guarantee a loss.
Unfortunately, Arkansas just couldn’t catch a break.
Fortunately, the season is far from over and the Razorbacks will bounce back after this loss as Sam Pittman is no slouch.
