College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 7
I will admit that I am shocked that Alabama didn’t blow the doors off of Texas A&M, but you can seemingly always expect a tight game between the Aggies and Crimson Tide nowadays.
Jimbo Fisher had a little extra motivation to win this one on the road after finally getting over the Alabama-sized hump last year and taking down Nick Saban, but his former mentor called out his recruiting cleanliness this offseason and he didn’t take it well.
Alabama probably should have won this one by 2-3 touchdowns at home, but despite saying that Bryce Young would be back, Saban went with the backup Jalen Milroe and the offense wasn’t nearly as effective as it would have been.
What a learning lesson this was for Milroe as his Tide escaped an upset and improved to 6-0 on the year. I think they drop back to No. 2 after this scare.
