College football Championship Week features 10 title games and here is a prediction for each game as the 2022 season has reached its critical weekend.

It’s Championship Week for the 2022 college football season and over the next two days, all 10 college football conference championships will be decided.

Some of the Group of Five games get overlooked, but each league has a championship game now so there are a lot of intriguing matchups on Saturday.

Only a few have College Football Playoff implications. Georgia and Michigan should be in, even with a loss and TCU will have a strong case at 12-1 too. USC needs to win in order to get into the playoff and if the Trojans falter, Ohio State looks poised to take their spot.

Alabama is sitting at No. 6, but it’s really hard to see Alabama jumping TCU or Michigan. Both teams would be 12-1 and each played for a conference title.

At any rate, there is a lot to be decided, and here’s a prediction for each college football championship game.

No. 11 Utah vs No. 4 USC (-2.5), Friday 8 PM EST (Fox)

The first game of Championship Week is Friday night. USC lost in overtime to Utah on the Utes’ home field but hasn’t lost since. Caleb Williams is playing as well as anyone in college football right now and is in line to win the 2022 Heisman Trophy.

Utah has its own stellar quarterback in Cameron Rising but both defenses struggled in the first meeting and the USC defense was much better last week against Notre Dame.

I expect more of a shootout and both quarterbacks are going to have a big day. Caleb Wiliams is special and I think the USC run defense will do just enough against the run, as well as keep up with their trend of takeaways, to escape with a win, a Pac-12 title, and a playoff berth.

USC 38, Utah 35
