Early National Signing Day has come and gone for the 2023 college football recruiting class and here are the biggest winners and losers.

College football recruiting is never dull and Early National Signing Day definitely delivered with plenty of shocks and excitement.

Nobody should be shocked by anything anymore and with college football recruiting becoming even more cutthroat with the introduction of NIL, the craziness isn’t going to stop.

While the week didn’t start well for the Oregon football program, the Ducks rebounded in a huge way. They lost Dante Moore, a five-star QB to UCLA but landed Austin Novosad and a slew of other big-time commitments on Early National Signing Day.

The Ducks are the big winners, so we’ll start with them as we look back at the biggest winners and losers in college football recruiting’s Early National Signing Day.

Winner: Oregon football

It seemed like the commitments were non-stop for the Ducks on Wednesday. They flipped Novosad, a top-10 QB according to the 247 sports composite rankings early on signing day but were far from finished.

After it looked like Oklahoma was going to flip five-star safety Peyton Bowen, Oregon football wound up being the choice. The Ducks also flipped running back Jayden Limar from Notre Dame and landed five-star EDGE Matayo Uiagalelei.

Oregon football also flipped four-star cornerback Daylen Austin away from LSU and in the most underrated move of the day, landed the top offensive lineman in the transfer portal in Ajani Cornelius.

We knew that Dan Lanning was a great recruiter at Georgia and teamed with everything Oregon has to offer, it has made the Ducks a force in college football recruiting.
