1. Harbaugh has proven he can win Big Ten, beat OSU, make CFP

You might read this reason and think, “Wouldn’t that be a reason for him to leave?” And I would understand your point. When you prove you can make it to the highest level and win your conference and beat the once-believed untouchable program in the league in back-to-back years, you have to feel like there’s unfinished business when you lose on the big stage.

Making it to the College Football Playoff is impressive, making it two straight times is elite, and winning it would be the perfect way to prove that you’re one of the best in the sport.

I think Jim is a fierce competitor and it’s why he shook off all of the “hot seat” rumors before the 2021 season, went on a heck of a run and won two straight Big Ten titles, beat Ohio State, and then made the playoff in consecutive seasons. It’s killing him that he made it to the playoff and couldn’t win a game in the one year where literally anyone could win it all.

But then again, maybe he has the same thought about the NFL and making it to the Super Bowl only to lose — we’ll try not to think about that right now.

Harbaugh has proven he can win big at Michigan and he was very close to making the national title game and getting another crack at Georgia. And the team might even be better next season.

Why not run it back?
