LSU’s secondary is going to be facing a huge overhaul this offseason and that means some young guys are going to have to step up.

Larerrance Welch just feels like a guy that’s poised to become a star.

While LSU will get some help in the portal as well as from the 2023 class in the secondary, Welch will be entering his second year and he learned behind some really talented guys last season. He finished his freshman season with a rather quiet four tackles, but he got some valuable experience.

That experience will pay off in 2023 with him taking over as a potential starting cornerback. The former top-150 recruit will seize the opportunity in front of him and become that next star cornerback for the Tigers and mold into a legit NFL prospect before our eyes.

Don’t be shocked when he’s a lockdown corner in the SEC, giving opposing quarterbacks nightmares in year two.
