If anyone is going to step up and become a star on that TCU defensive line with a number of top contributors moving on next season, it’s former three-star lineman Damonic Williams. He was the No. 541 overall recruit in the 2022 class.

Underrated would be the perfect word to describe the Mission Hills, Calif., product and it’s shocking that he was just the 77th-best defensive lineman in his class and he’s going to out-perform his ranking, and then some.

Williams had a really solid freshman season, finishing fifth on the team with 4.5 tackles for loss and also had 27 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. He was productive and looked like a budding star in just his first season.

I would buy stock in Williams before the season starts because he’s about to earn a starting job on the interior of the defensive line and have an All-Big 12-type season for the Horned Frogs.
