Defensive line: B+

Much like the offensive line, there’s only one defensive lineman enrolled early in four-star Devan Houstan from Maryland. He’s ranked the No. 260 overall prospect in the class and is a nice-looking defensive lineman at 6-foot-4.5 and 285 pounds.

Brenan Vernon is the highest-ranked defensive lineman in Notre Dame’s class at No. 201 in the nation and 24th at the position.

The other four-star Notre Dame signed on the line (there are three) is Boubacar Traore from Massachusetts. He looks the part of a solid defensive end or pass rusher with a slender 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame and he’s the nation’s 27th-best lineman and No. 217 overall.

Notre Dame also picked up one final signee on the defensive line in Armel Mukam who is a three-star and No. 537 in the class. Not too shabby for the “lowest” rated guy on the line, but this group has zero top-200 signees.
