One of the newest members of the Big 12, BYU is going to get a good idea of how well it matches up with solid Power Five teams in this one but with Jaren Hall gone, I just don’t see the Cougars making much noise in this one nor in their first Big 12 campaign.
Arkansas should have no trouble shutting down a BYU offense with no identity with Hall gone and KJ Jefferson and Raheim Sanders will put up some big-time numbers.
Arkansas should be talked about as a top 25 team after another blowout win.
Prediction: Win (3-0)
LSU is going to take another step in the right direction next season under Brian Kelly as the Tigers bring back Jayden Daniels at quarterback and a lot of the offense, outside of Kayshon Boutte, returns. The Tigers might average close to 35-40 points per game next year.
Plus, the fact that this is in Death Valley means that Arkansas will need a near-perfect performance on the road to pull off the upset.
I see LSU as a top-10 team at this point and it’ll add to its resume with a ranked win over Arkansas.
Prediction: Loss (3-1, 0-1 SEC)
