Colorado football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023
A “rivalry” game that has been one-sided over the course of its history with Colorado holding a 67-22-2 lead and it has also won five straight.
These two teams haven’t met since 2019 and a lot has changed since then, but I don’t think Colorado State is anywhere close to pulling off an upset here, especially with the Buffaloes’ roster improving so much in a short span of time under Deion Sanders.
Colorado wins easily at home.
Prediction: Win (2-1)
It’s been seven years since Colorado last beat Oregon. Before that, the Buffaloes hadn’t beaten the Ducks since 1998. Long story short: Colorado is due.
Not this year, though.
Oregon looks like a program on the rise under Dan Lanning and the Ducks could legitimately be pushing for a playoff berth this year, especially with Bo Nix returning at quarterback. I think Oregon is one of the most talented teams in the country and the Pac-12 title might just have to run through Eugene this year.
That’s bad news for Colorado here.
Prediction: Loss (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12)
