54. Scouting Report. Illinois. Devon Witherspoon. player. Pick Analysis. CB. 10

There are going to be a lot of teams vying for Devon Witherspoon who has arguably done the most rising on draft boards since the end of the 2022 season. In fact, there are probably 3-4 teams in the top 10 who could use an elite lockdown cornerback like Witherspoon, but I could see him slipping.

Going at No. 10 to the Eagles seems right.

From the minute he stepped on campus at Illinois, he had an impact. He had 33 tackles and two pass breakups as a freshman. He only got better, picking up 31 tackles, a tackle for loss, and two interceptions as a sophomore and 52 tackles, eight tackles for loss, a sack, and nine pass deflections in 2021.

Witherspoon really broke out in 2022, picking up 41 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and 14 pass breakups. He was one of the best defensive backs in the country and he was a Thorpe Award finalist, a first-team All-American, and the Big Ten’s defensive back of the year.

Add him to that Eagles secondary and Philadelphia is even scarier.
