Florida football: Final 2023 NFL mock draft for Gators
Florida football fans will be waiting patiently on Thursday night to see where the first Gator is selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
That player is likely to be Anthony Richardson, but O’Cyrus Torrence is also an option.
Where do I see all of the Gators’ top NFL draft prospects going (round-wise) this weekend? Well, let’s start with Richardson.
There’s a lot of debate about where Anthony Richardson is going to end up on Thursday night as the 2023 NFL Draft kicks off.
What we do know is that the Florida quarterback is likely to be a first-rounder. Not only a first-round pick, but more than likely a top-10 pick. His stock as risen over the past few months and scouts really like his potential.
Richardson has great size at 6-foot-4 and 236 pounds and he has a rocket for an arm. He can sling the ball effortlessly down the field and as long as he can improve his accuracy, he’s going to be dangerous in the NFL.
Along with his strong arm, he’s a capable runner and had over 1,000 rushing yards in the past two seasons and 12 rushing touchdowns.
Looking at the top 10, I could see teams like the Texans, Colts, or Raiders taking a chance on him. High-risk, high-reward quarterback here.
