Texas A&M football: Post-spring game-by-game predictions for 2023
Gone is Hendon Hooker but Josh Heupel already has a plan in place for the offense to not skip a single beat. Joe Milton will be back at quarterback after sitting behind Hooker and some believe he’s this year’s freak athlete under center like Anthony Richardson last year.
I’m not quite at that point yet.
However, Tennessee is tough to beat at home and even if this offense is nearly as good as it was last year, the Volunteers will have no problem picking up a win over Texas A&M, led by a first-year starting quarterback.
Prediction: Loss (4-3, 1-3)
Riding a three-game losing streak after fighting through an absolute gauntlet, Texas A&M will come home to another top-half SEC team in South Carolina.
The Gamecocks return Spencer Rattler at quarterback for a second season after he transferred over from Oklahoma and he’ll be one of the best in the SEC. South Carolina may very well be ranked at this point in the season, too.
But Jimbo Fisher’s team will put a stop to the bleeding and pick up their second conference win of the season to improve to 5-3 on the year.
Prediction: Win (5-3, 2-3)
