2. Auburn Tigers

Things aren’t going to be super easy for Hugh Freeze in his second stint in the SEC as he’ll have arguably the toughest schedule, but I’m ranking it No. 2.

The Tigers are requiring a rather large turnaround after a couple of really rough seasons under Bryan Harsin and exploring this schedule with a rebuilding roster could be a disaster.

Here’s the slate for Auburn:

  • Arkansas
  • Oklahoma
  • Texas A&M
  • Vanderbilt
  • at Alabama
  • at Georgia
  • at Kentucky
  • at Missouri

The only thing that would make this schedule tougher would be adding a road game against LSU because, wow, that road slate is horrific.

Going to Alabama? Check. Going to Georgia? Check. Facing a tough Kentucky team on the road? Check. Auburn fans can’t be too thrilled with that road slate considering there’s probably only one potential win there in four tries (Missouri).

The home slate isn’t much easier as Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M are all going to be really tough matchups. Vanderbilt is the only likely win there.
