It was quite the week in the ACC Power Rankings:

… All I know is that to me
You look like you’re havin’ fun
Open up your lovin’ arms
Watch out, here I come
… You spin me right ’round, baby, right ’round
Like a record, baby, right ’round, ’round, ’round
You spin me right ’round, baby, right ’round
Like a record, baby, right ’round, ’round, ’round

You Spin Me Right ‘Round by Dead or Alive

Welcome back to ACC Power Rankings on the corner of Tobacco Road and the future site of the David Cutcliffe Memorial Statue. This weekend’s slate is a tad light, but — as we’ve seen — that doesn’t mean much.

The #17 Blue Devils lost to #10 Notre Dame on a walk-off touchdown. Pitt’s woes continue after losing to Virginia Tech. Most interesting is Georgia Tech’s loss to Bowling Green. The Jackets lost to Bowling Green one week after looking great against Wake Forest.

The #17 Hurricanes play their first conference game Saturday night against those previously mentioned Yellow Jackets. Can the Cavaliers get their first win of the season against William and Mary this weekend? The Tribe are 4-1, so they are no pushover.

So, to rivalries that aren’t rivalries, to always calling it The Carrier Dome, and rivalry games that deserve trophies, here are the ACC Power Rankings heading into week six.
