College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 8
Penn State had one of those “bye” week games in Week 7 as the Nittany Lions hosted UMass for a rare non-conference mid-October battle.
And the Minutemen didn’t stand a chance.
Just as everyone expected, Penn State dominated its way to a win and the game was decided by halftime as the Nittany Lions were cup 28-0 before UMass could even blink. While this was a confidence-boosting win for the Nittany Lions, I couldn’t take anything from this as Penn State was supposed to dominate and it did.
Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton combined for a solid one-two punch which was refreshing to see and Drew Allar had another good game.
Penn State will still hover around the top five, but move down because the winner of the Washington vs. Oregon game has to move up.
