College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 9
Early on, things were looking a little sketchy for Oregon. The Ducks found themselves in a 17-13 dogfight in Eugene against a struggling Washington State team that had lost two straight games after being ranked for the first time this season.
The Cougars put up a fight — for a half.
The second half was all Oregon as the Ducks out-scored the Cougars 21-11 and were able to win by two touchdowns.
This was a nice response after losing a tough road game against top rival Washington. The Cougars were nearly able to pull off the upset because of Cam Ward and his 400-plus passing yards, but Bo Nix had himself a nice game and was clutch down the stretch.
Oregon is going to remain in the top 10 and we might even see the Ducks move up a spot because of Texas’ mediocre performance.
