Iowa State has proved to be pesky this season and Texas found that out on Saturday. The Cyclones hosted the Longhorns and the game was much uglier and tighter than expected.

Much like their in-state rival, the Cyclones like to make games ugly and bring their opponent into the mud with them. But Texas was able to fight it out and pick up a big road win. The Longhorns will remain in College Football Playoff contention because of this win and they’ll be playing for a Big 12 title in a couple of weeks.

Despite the fact that this wasn’t exactly an offensive shootout, Quinn Ewers still played a really good game, throwing a couple of touchdown passes and protecting the ball against a pesky defense.
