College football is finally back, and Week 0 gives fans their first chance to settle in for another season of Saturdays filled with action. While the schedule is lighter than a typical college football weekend, there are still plenty of games worth keeping an eye on. North Carolina Tar Heels vs TCU Horned Frogs - Dublin, Ireland - 12:00 PM ET - ESPN

Bill Belichick will look to get his revenge for the beatdown Sonny Dykes and TCU put on the Tar Heels in the season opener last year. North Carolina's off-field drama continues to be a storyline with GM Michael Lombardi on administrative leave, and DC Steve Belichick won't be with the team due to a medical issue. The game will provide TCU its first chance to see transfer QB Jaden Craig in action, and if he can translate to the Power 4 level the Horned Frogs will be a major factor
San Jose State Spartans vs #14 USC Trojans - Los Angeles, CA - 3:00 PM ET - NBC

The pressure is on for Lincoln Riley to reach the College Football Playoff, and with the talent on the roster, this team has a chance to make that level of run. Jayden Maiava is back for another season, and while USC's wide receiver room is dealing with injuries, a trio of freshman wide receivers and tight end Mark Bowman may steal the show in the opener. The game will also mark a return to the sidelines for longtime TCU head coach Gary Patterson, who takes over as USC's defensive coordinator.
NC State Wolfpack vs Virginia Cavaliers - Charlottesville, VA - 3:30 PM ET - ESPN

NC State and Virginia clash to open the season in a matchup of ACC teams that won't count toward league standings in a bizarre setup. While NC State lost a ton of talent in the Transfer Portal, QB CJ Bailey returns as a potential Heisman dark horse. The Cavaliers fell in overtime of the ACC Championship, and now Tony Elliott will look to carry the momentum into this season with former Penn State and Missouri QB Beau Pribula taking over the offense.
Jacksonville State Gamecocks vs North Dakota State Bison - Fargo, ND - 5:30 PM ET - CBSSN

North Dakota State makes the leap to the FBS this season after years of dominating at the FCS level, where the Bison have won 10 championships since 2011. Jacksonville State is coming off a run to the Conference USA Championship in the first season under Charles Kelly, and this season will be all about showing that Rich Rodriguez's infrastructure wasn't the reason for success.
Sacramento State Hornets vs Eastern Michigan Eagles - Ypsilanti, MI - 6:30 PM ET - ESPN+

Saturday will mark Sacramento State's first game in FBS as the Hornets join the Mountain West after trying for years to reach this level. Eastern Michigan returns starting quarterback Noah Kim, leading wide receiver Nick Devereaux, and the star of the defense, Bryce Llewellyn, giving the team a great core.
Hawaii Rainbow Warriors vs Stanford Cardinal - Stanford, CA - 7:00 PM ET - ACC Network

Hawaii and Stanford clash again to open the season after the Rainbow Warriors beat the Cardinal with a walk-off 38-yard field goal. This game kicks off the Tavita Pritchard era at Stanford, and everyone will be looking to see how this roster he put together with Andrew Luck fares. The Rainbow Warriors are going to have a chance to go on the road and knock off Stanford again as exciting QB Micah Alejado returns with exciting weapons around him.
New Mexico State Aggies vs Florida State Seminoles - Tallahassee, FL - 7:00 PM ET - CW

Mike Norvell begins a pivotal year as he doesn't have much wiggle room after a second consecutive messy season. The Seminoles are once again relying on a ton of moving pieces with just 6 returning starters, which has blown up in Norvell's face in the past. This game shouldn't give the Seminoles any issues, but if it does, the talks about moving on will only ramp up ahead of a difficult stretch of the schedule.
Memphis Tigers vs UNLV Rebels - Las Vegas, NV - 10:00 PM ET - FOX

The most high-stakes game of Week 0 comes as Memphis and UNLV face off in a matchup with major College Football Playoff implications. UNLV and Memphis each enter the season on the shortlist of contenders to win their respective conferences, and a win to start the season will be a great resumé builder. Both teams will have new starting QBs as UNLV adds former 5-star Jackson Arnold while Memphis appears to be starting Marcus Stokes who's had a wild ride to get to this point.
