The Ohio State Buckeyes have become a factory for elite wide receivers, turning highly sought after recruits into some of the NFL's best playmakers. Any time that Ohio State signs a receiver out of High School, you instantly have to pay attention as they're potential superstar. Brian Hartline has been one of the most impactful assistants in college football as his work with receivers has been incredible.

While Brian Hartline left Columbus this offseason, he left behind a great gift for the Buckeyes. Ohio State signed a wide receiver class loaded with elite playmakers who appear to be the next wave of superstars. The wide receiver who drew the least buzz as a recruit is already becoming a name to watch in Columbus.

Dez Bryant praises Ohio State freshman WR Brock Boyd

Ohio State's recruiting class was headlined by 5-star WR signees Chris Henry Jr and Jerquaden Guilford. Way down in the recruiting rankings was 3-star recruit Brock Boyd who was ranked as the 107th best wide receiver in the class.

On Tuesday, Brock Boyd became the 1st Ohio State Buckeye freshman to "lose his black stripe" a tradition to show that a new player has officially become a Buckeye. The Texas Native has already caught the attention of another Texas legend Dez Bryant who praised the freshman Boyd.

Last year, Brock Boyd racked up 111 catches for 1,868 yards and 19 touchdowns while adding another score as a rusher.

Considering that Brian Hartline and Ryan Day recruited Brock Boyd to Ohio State, everyone should've known that he was bound to become a superstar. The surprising factor is the fact that Boyd is making this big of an impact this early as you'd typically expect this buzz from a 5-star. Ohio State's wide receiver room is loaded, but it shouldn't surprise anyone if Boyd finds his way onto the field.
